Stevie Nicks and Janet Jackson are mong nominees for the Rock and Hall of Fame 2019!
An eclectic mix of artists have been selected by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame body for nomination as next year’s honorary Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, and they are encouraging fans to vote in person in Cleveland, or online.
The nominees are:

Rage Against the Machine
Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
For a bit of trivia, this is the first time that Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, and Todd Rundgren have been nominated.
According to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website, in order to be considered eligible for nomination, the band or artist must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to their year of nomination.
A pool of artists, music historians and members of the music industry will also determine other aspects like the artist’s influence, the length and depth of their career and body of work, their innovation in their genre, and their musical style and technique, among others; will also be considered.
The winning nominees will be announced in December 2018, with the Induction Ceremony set on March 29, 2019 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
